Limits
- Report brand names are masked as MSK. Green Book brand lists are separate reference records; counts are not brand-level counts.
- Many flea and tick pesticides are registered by EPA rather than approved by FDA; those ingredient pages say so. A missing Green Book match alone does not establish a product’s status.
- Ingredient names in reports are free text (the same medicine is written many ways, with salts, strengths and combinations). We group them under one ingredient name with a reviewed mapping; a report naming several products with the same ingredient counts once for that ingredient. Combination products count toward each ingredient they contain. Vaccines and other USDA biologics, devices, fluids, supplements without a clear ingredient and unknown products are not grouped into ingredient pages; Cytopoint-type antibody (lokivetmab) is shown and labelled as USDA-licensed.
- Reporting lag can be 3–6 months. The latest received date is not the date symptoms occurred; partial years cannot be compared directly with full years.
- Only recalls with a public FDA notice since 2019 are included. One supplied row lacks a direct notice URL. This is not a complete enforcement history.
- FDA sign terms are retained, including near-duplicates. Reports may name multiple ingredients or signs. Counts are not numbers of treated animals or incidence rates.
